Wayne County deputies say a 13-year-old hid in a closet and called police when his home was broken into Monday night.
Linwood West was arrested for the break-in on Everett Road in Mount Olive. Wayne County deputies tell us the homeowner's son was at home when the crime occurred. A highway patrolman arrived just as West and another suspect were attempting to flee the scene. West was arrested. The other suspect was able to get away.
The 20-year-old West is being held on a $65,000 secured bond.
