Wayne County Armed Robbery Suspect Nabbed

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office has charged a man with holding up a local convenience store that netted the robber stolen cigarettes but no money.

Dennis Martin, 32, of Brock Rd. Goldsboro, is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon for a hold up Monday. Detectives say Martin is the one who held up the Kangaroo Express on Highway 117 South. Though the robber tried to rob the clerk of money and cigarettes, he didn't get any cash.

Deputies say Martin was identified using store surveillance video. His bond is set at $50,000.
