Victim In Reported Home Invasion Arrested

Police are investigating a home invasion in Greenville where the victim has now been arrested.

It all happened around 4:00 p.m. Friday on West Pointe Drive.

Police say they arrested 25-year-old Orandi Ellis and charged him with simple possession of marijuana. Officers say Ellis called police saying he'd been the victim of a home invasion. He told them he was inside his apartment asleep when he heard the front door open and two guys - one armed with a handgun - told him to give them money.

Police say Ellis told them that he gave the men his wallet and then they tied him up with his bed sheets before he managed to escape, jump off the back balcony and run to a nearby business to call police.

Officers say witnesses saw two men wearing white t-shirts leaving the apartment.
