A Whitakers woman has died and two people are charged after a deadly traffic crash in Rocky Mount Saturday evening.
Apolonio Lopez-Acevedo has been charged with death by motor vehicle and having no operator's license.
Rocky Mount police say the two vehicle accident happened at the intersection of Thomas Betts parkway and Benvenue Road around 6:30 p.m. They say Kimberly Hoyle's vehicle was westbound on Benvenue and the other vehicle turned in front of her. Two passengers in Hoyle's vehicle, Daniel Hoyle and Kelly Hoyle, are now in stable condition at Wake Med.
The owner of that other vehicle, Juan Gomez-Acevendo, is charged with permitting an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle.
