Kinston police are releasing new details after a woman and restaurant were robbed within two hours of each other.
Officer Woody Spencer said at 5:44 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the Little Bank on West Vernon Avenue for an armed robbery.
According to officers, a man wearing all dark clothes and a ski mask approached a woman, demanding her money bag.
Police said the Salvation Army Thrift Store employee handed over the night deposit bag and the robber took off running behind the bank. No one was hurt during that armed robbery.
Almost two hours later, officers were called to King's Restaurant at 7:32 p.m. for the report of an armed robbery there.
Officer Spencer said in that case, witnesses reported seeing a heavy-set man with bushy eyebrows and a blue bandana covering part of his face come in with a handgun, demanding money.
That man took off in what was described as a black KIA sport utility vehicle.
No one was injured during the robbery at King's.
