Traffic Stop Nets Arrest, Heroin, Cash & Cadillac Escalade

A traffic stop on a Wayne County interstate has netted lawmen with the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker, $30,000 in heroin, cash and a Cadillac Escalade.

Quaashon Phillips of Goldsboro was charged with two counts of trafficking heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies say the traffic stop happened on Interstate 795 by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Squad, the Sheriff's Office "ACE Team" and members from the DEA. Seized were two ounces of heroin, $1,200 in cash and the Cadillac.

Phillips is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.

The I.R.S. may want to talk to this gentleman as well. Tax evasion can get hard time as well. One only needs to review the Capone case.

I have always said if you want to catch drug dealers, follow the Escalades that are riding around in the middle of the day. If they are out riding , they arent working and the money for the ride has to come from some where.

That is just stupid, what about stay at home mothers and others whose job may not require them to be at work during the day and drive Escalades. Not all that drive nice cars and out and about during the day are drug dealers or jobless!

Don't blame the unemployment rate, I know plenty of people that have been able to get a job when they WANTED to. Making a conscious decision to buy, sell and use drugs instead of making minimum wage is your choice. Just remember if you get caught you will lose it all anyway since you didn't earn it honestly! You are part of the reason the economy is the way it is. We could use some more tax payers and less people trying to get by comitting illegal crimes.

To Fred and Anonymous, both of you all are just making more excuses for the young blacks. Making excuses and most being afraid to accept that there is a major problem in the black community. Just look at the pictures each morning when any news outlet is give the crime report, need say more? How did the immigration situation get to where it is today? Everyone wanted to ignore it, make like it was not happening, and now what a mess we have, No anonymous, we all are not prejudice to recoginze it brother, you all have a very serious problem and unfortuately, it is everyone's problem.
