Teens Charged In Home Break-In

Two 17-year-olds are in jail charged with breaking into a house, and authorities say one suspect was already wearing an electronic monitoring device.

Pitt County Sheriff's Deputies were called around noon Wednesday about a suspicious vehicle at a home on Avon Road. Once deputies arrived they stopped a suspicious vehicle on Highway 33 and Avon Road leaving the scene. Inside the vehicle they found a stolen flat screen television.

According to sheriff's spokesperson Christy Wallace, 17-year-old Brandon Brock was arrested, but he's not a stranger to the system. Wallace says he was wearing a monitoring device for a different crime. Brock is now in jail under a $50,000 bond.

Travon Joyner, 17-years-old, was also arrested. Both are charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and conspiracy of breaking and entering. He's in jail under a $25,000 bond.
