Teen Pleads Guilty In Break-In Spree

A Kinston teen accused of organizing a rash of break-ins has pleaded guilty.

Charles Cox, 18, pleaded guilty in Lenoir County Superior Court to several break-ins, netting more than $10,000 in stolen electronics. The paper says Cox organized the theft ring for the War Bangers, a gang in Kinston.

Cox will spend at least one year in prison.

Great ... He spend the next year in prison and we the taxpayers get the bill. Good ole job justice system. With time serve and good behavior he walk less than 6 months and the next time he probably murder some one family member. It might just be one of yours. Great JOB crimnal justice system...

There is plenty of crime in America but very little punishment. Thanks in part to the very liberal media and white guilt. We can not punish a African American because we might look like a racist.

this is insane---only one year for a "string" of crimes. This is what is wrong with our youth today, they just get a slap on the wrist. Don't worry, he'll get out early for good behavior and then be free to committ another "string" of crimes.

If the courts end his criminal career, they can no longer profit from it. Its all about money.

I think anyone associated with a gang should get TWICE the time in jail. Scrutinizing these gangs is the only way to flush them from our midst.

At 18, you're an adult. But let me guess, he committed his crimes for his gang while he was 17. Cause only one year in jail for a spree of break-in's is kinda "slap on the wrist-ish".
