Teen Charged In 20 Break-Ins Following Manhunt

A manhunt turns up a teenager suspected of several break-ins in the east.

Martin County Sheriff's Deputies say 16-year-old Michael Rouse broke into a couple of homes on Bear Grass Road early Tuesday morning and a homeowner held Rouse, but he got away.

The area was secured and K-9 units were called in. Deputies say they found stolen property in the woods, and found Rouse hiding in a boat on Five Cent Road.

Rouse is being held on 20 charges of breaking into homes and cars and is expected to be charged with additional break- ins in the area.

Should Price be charged with assault? The law says no use of lethal force to protect property plus the guy was retreating. When he raised the weapon at him he used lethal force. It is what the law states.

According to this silly definition of lethal force, anytime a police officer holds a suspect at gunpoint he would be "using" lethal force. To "use" lethal force means to USE IT!!!!! He did not shoot anybody! The turd who invaded Mr Price's home is alive and well! If the punk or some doggy brain who abided in him were shot in the back while retreating, THEN and only then would LETHAL FORCE have been USED!!! So much hate for a man who simply disagree with on local political issues. Grow up. Baykha!!!

Just a thought, instead of jail, maybe a hefty fine and involuntary enrollment with the Marine Corps would help with attitude adjustment. I can picture this guy at Paris Island.

Isn't that the truth, white on white anger. How can we tie this to the race card, so they can feel included, so they can defend him. Come on Rev Sharpton, Cylipso Louie of Eastern NC spread the word here.

Note that the homeowner caught this punk at the muzzle of an AK47 with tactical light. He only ran when the cops arrived because they are less likely to shoot than a homeowner. Good citizens are fed up. The next punk might not be as lucky not getting shot. Wise up!!!

No they are not. I don't see thug, mother on welfare or any other demeanful comments about his parents or him not having a father. So you are wrong and you know it.

NAACP, please take note of the comments here. White people are ten times harder on white people that commit crimes than black people are on black people that commit crimes. This kid is 16, and there's talk of taking his face off, he's being called a terrorist, a crack head, we're ready to hang this boy. I haven't seen his cousins, grandma, sisters, or friends getting on here to defend him, or blame someone else, or blame "the man", they're ashamed of him like honest folks should be.

thats what one too many timeouts will get you and not enough tail whoopns.....i know this is a teenager for a minor crime compared to some i guess u can say but if they know that theres no harsh consquences for their actions...then what makes u think they will stop commmitting crimes. crimnals have more rights than citizens. im sure this kid will get a slap on the wrist and in maybe 2 yrs will have drug charges or a felony charge of some kind.

Blame society and DSS. Society (people that have witnessed spankings in public) for being nosey when a child was being disciplined by their parents and DSS for the follow-up. That was the beginning of the end.
