The Nash County Sheriff's Office says a Raleigh man is facing dozens of charges for break-ins, mostly to cars.

Tony Cole, 22, of Raleigh is behind bars in the Wake County Jail on separate charges of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny, according to court records. In Nash County, Cole faces a total of 61 charges that stem from one day of break-ins.

Nash County lawmen say several break-ins were reported on Massey Rd. in Middlesex on November 28. By the end of that day, 37 cars were reportedly broken into, along with two outbuildings and one home. Lawmen have charged Cole with all of those break-ins. Cole faces 37 counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, three counts of breaking and entering of a residence and outbuildings, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering, four counts of felony larceny, four counts of larceny of a firearm, and eleven counts of misdemeanor larceny.

Lawmen say Cole did not steal items from every car broken into. His bond for the Nash County charges was set at $512,000.
