Suspect Arrested On Child Sex Charge

A multi-agency manhunt tracked down a man wanted for a child sex crime.

Onslow County deputies say 27-year-old Juan Padilla of Cape Carteret was arrested Monday night with the help of Carteret County deputies and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Padilla is charged with indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery.

Deputies say the incident happened last April and involved a 15-year-old.
