A high school student is in trouble with the law after deputies say they found pot, narcotics and a digital scale on him at school.
Jamel Griffin, a student at Southside High School in Beaufort County is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, trafficking opium or heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies say Friday morning they got a call about drugs found on a student at the high school. They seized nine bags of pot, fourteen Hydrocodone pills and the scale.
Bond for the 19-year-old was set at $3,000. Griffin, who has a Grimesland address, is a junior at the high school.
Beaufort County Schools could not say what, if any, disciplinary action was taken against the student.
