A mother who deputies say was stabbed over the weekend by her son described what happened to 911 dispatchers.

Jane Akines remains in good condition at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville after the Saturday afternoon stabbing.

Taylor Hill of Newport went before a judge this morning on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and resisting an officer.

Authorities released the 911 call on Monday.

Woman: "My son just stabbed me in the chest."
911: "Ok"
Woman: "To the left of my chest. I can still breathe, Um, but I got the knife away from him in the house. He recently came to anti-depressant medicine and I don't know if that's why."

Akines was extremely calm during the call. She told the 911 operator that she took the knife away from her son and hid it in her closet. She described it was a pocket knife with a three inch blade.

The woman said she had her hand up when her son stabbed her.

Investigators say that Hill became angry at his mother after she confronted him about using her vehicle without her permission. According to officials, Hill, who lives with Akines, was still on the scene when deputies arrived and was taken into custody.

Hill's bond was increased to $250,000 and he remains in jail.
