The Pitt County Sheriff's Office is looking for kids interested in law enforcement to participate in a special program.

The program is called Venturing Crew 911 and is part of the Boy Scouts, but the Pitt County Sheriff's Office sponsors and runs the program.

The goal is to teach teens all about being in law enforcement.

Advisers also help to mentor kids and keep them on the right track.

Twenty-year-old Sidney Baker has been in the group for two-and-half years and says she loves it.

Baker now works at the Pitt County Detention Center.

Seventeen kids are in the program right now. If your child is interested, or if you are interested in being an adviser for the group you can contact the Pitt County Sheriff's Office for more information.
