School Counselor Arrested On Drug Charges
A school system counselor in Onslow County is facing drug charges in another coastal county.
Brunswick County deputies say they arrested Homer Deese of Emerald Isle on several counts. Those include possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver schedule VI controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of distributing controlled substances.
The Onslow County School website says the 52-year-old Deese is a counselor at the Onslow County Learning Center. There's no immediate reaction yet from the school system.
Deputies say they arrested Deese and two other men after getting complaints of drug sales in the Leland area.
