SCAM ALERT: Police Say Florida Man Wanted In Tree Trimming Scheme

Police are looking for a Tampa, Florida man they say has been scamming local people through his tree trimming service.

Frankie Johns is wanted by police in Beulaville and Kinston after homeowners say he bilked them out of thousands of dollars.

Beulaville Police Chief Joey Carter says Johns asks the victims for a deposit on the work, but he doesn't return to finish the job. One Beulaville man is out $2,501, while a Kinston woman lost $985.

Police say Johns drives a white Chevy Silverado crew cab with the logo "Florida Trees" on the door.
