Tasshwn Mabry got away with murder over 1 year ago. Apparently, he has not learned from that situation. Some people were actually defending him in Rocky Mount Telegram comment sections. The commenters were looking forward to seeing him play basketball at NC State. If he was not able to play in the NBA he would have a 4 yr degree to fall back on. Actually, Tashawn Mabry signed with Rhode Island and quit shortly after the schoool year began in the fall of 2010. Some people suggested that Mabry was a gang leader in Rocky Mount, NC. The most recent charges help support that argument/claim.

Tashawn...you had your ticket out of all the madness in Rocky Mount when you comitted to play basketball at the University of Rhode Island. Most kids growing up could only dream of winning a high school championship, voted one of the top players in the state and getting looked at by top schools like Duke and State. I can see why they never gave you that chance now. You could still be living out a dream playing for URI and have a chance to play in the NBA. But you backed out from that committment only to come back home and throw it all away. How dumb can you be?

Really it is not funny..it is truthful. If the shoe fits..."some" people do not want an education and "these" people are perfect examples. What is funny about that..."these" people choose to talk like they are ignorant...and why are "we" wrong to make an example of their ignorance?

So if it was "gang related", which gang was it related to? Was it a distant cousin, an uncle? I hope it wasn't a grandmother or grandfather.
