Rocky Mount Man Charged With Hit And Runs With Moped

Police say a man used a moped as his getaway vehicle after stealing from a Wal-Mart. They say he was arrested but not before hitting two other vehicles.

48-year-old Bobby Proctor is charged with misdemeanor larceny, hit and run, and damage to property. Rocky Mount police officers responded to a larceny at Wal-Mart Friday afternoon just before 4:00p.m.. They say Proctor fled the scene on a moped and hit two cars before ditching his moped in the parking lot of Home Depot and ran. Officers say they caught Proctor and took him to the Nash County jail.
