Actually, i can do better. My business has been broken into twice and in both cases I solved the crime, NOT the police. More recently, there were several breakins at some property I own. The police knew who the criminal was within hours of the first break in. 3 months and 6 breakins later, they still haven't caught him. Their reply was "we don't have the officers to do survielence". Ironically, after I put the pieces together and gave the information to WITN, WITN aired the story and magically, GPD issues a press release. In case you would like to help, the criminals name is Antoyo Holmes and the detective working the case is detective Braxton. His seargent is Lt Burns. I fully realize the GPD is underfunded and needs more manpower. I have alot of respect for the difficult job they do but the ball has been dropped on multiple occasions in my life and I expect better.

here is a link to the criminal I am refering to. As far as I know, his brother is still locked up facing some of these charges but Antoyo is still at large. Now, since "dear david" wants to be a smartass. I will once again ask the GPD what we can do to eliminate these criminals from our community. http://www.witn.com/home/headlines/POLICE_Burglary_Suspect_Wanted_For_Several_Crimes_136029303.html

I realize that I am setting myself up here for all of my detractors to fire away at me, but I must steal a line from Beavis & Butthead here. David, after reading your post, "I have walked amongst all that which is cool". You rock man, keep posting.

Outstanding comment David. He should have been caught before now, instead of 49 crimes later.

Never has been, never will be, anything but a street thug. OOPS! Should be a prison thug for the next twenty years.

Thank you GPD, PCSO, ECU, NCSHP, etc. for doing what you do every night to keep us safe! If people would quit calling you for problems that don't require you then you would have time to take a lot more thugs off the street like this!

This country needs to get tough on crime. 49 Charges this guy should be put a way for life. There is nothing worst than a thief. Lock this one up for the rest of his sorry life.

There is someting worse than a thief it's called a child molester , but yes he needs to be locked up for life. Everyone should stop getting upset. The police have lost the town , either call in for more help or get out there yourself and start cleaning up the trash.

You must be a family member. Well let me tell you this, it may not have happened to J.D., but it DID happen to someone. This fool has been running around breaking into people houses, stealing guns, and a number of things for quite some time. You need to wake up and realize that this thug belongs behind bars for a very long time.

I totally agree with you, Anonymous. Even if it is family, a thug is a thug and should NOT be defended. Really, "wiggins" you need to think before you type.
