Another $19,900 Recovered In Pitt County Barber Theft

Deputies say they recovered another $19,900 that was stolen from a Pitt County barber last week.

Investigators say Joseph Vick broke into the home of Linwood Baker, a barber shop owner, while his alleged accomplice got a haircut. Deputies say about $100,000 was stolen.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says the robbers also stole other items from the home on Highway 33. Two of three revolvers taken were recovered, as well as gold coins and about $46,000 to $47,000 in cash.

New shoes, clothing, and cigarettes, were some of the items authorities say 26-year-old Vick purchased with the cash.

While some of the money has been recovered, Pitt County deputies say $54,000 was spent on various things including drugs and prostitutes.

Twenty-five-year-old Justin Page, the alleged accomplice in the case, was arrested Monday afternoon.

Why do they want to know if they have 2 brothers or not? They were not envolved in these crimes. Wht does this person from kinston want to know if he has 2 brothers or not. His other brothers are tryin to do better for themselves. His mom is a hard workin mom. Nobody should try to put his other family involved in something that they didnt do.

How many times do you keep getting bailed out before enough is enough?? I feel sorry for the parents of these 2 criminals. Maybe by bailing them out the parents thought they were doing them a favour and that they would get some type of help. I think any mother that loves her child would do anything in her power to help them get on the right path. Feeling very sad for these families:0(

joey - should be ashamed of his self. his mom loves him so much and goes outy of his way to support him and before you people start judging his mom for bailing him out, none of you know for sure it was her. i dated a crackhead whos mom still gave him all the money he wanted but a mother will always love her son no matter what. love for a child is unconditional and sometimes things are easier said than done! i love you mrs. vick. and poor mr baker that man never does anything wrong to anyone. he grew up cutting his hair. mr. baker god bless your sole! you will continue to get our business!! hopefullt some justice will be done for you. even though i was friends with joey growing up, i will stand behind you mr. baker!!

Nothing to do with trusting banks its less than 100,000 so that's not true. It has maybe to do with evading taxes

It's sad to see how thugs like this take advantage of hard-working people who have taken years to save up that money. On top of that, they waste the money on needless things.

I guess Justin wanted a fresh haircut for his mugshot. I hope these boys go away for a loooong time as much trouble as they cause in Pitt Co.
