A building being renovated to be a church now has a lot of clean up after a car crashed into it Wednesday afternoon.
Police say 24-year-old Krystal Jones was "huffing," or inhaling toxic vapors from an aerosol can, when she crashed into a building in Kinston Wednesday. Jones crashed into what used to be the Family Pet Shop on West Vernon Avenue.
Jail records show Jones was still locked up under a $1,000 bond. Police say she's charged with careless and reckless driving, driving left of the center line and for inhaling toxic vapors. Officers say she can not be charged with DWI because it is an instant high and goes away quickly so there is no way to test for it.
