Raleigh Officer Accused Of Soliciting Sex From Teen Released On Bond

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- A Raleigh police officer has been released on bond following his arrest for soliciting a teenager for sex.

A statement from Fayetteville police said 34-year-old Jason Brandon Hoyle is charged with promoting prostitution of a minor and participating in the prostitution of a minor. Hoyle is accused of paying a teenager for sex on Feb. 7.

Authorities also said 17-year-old Tiara Michelle Bradshaw was arrested and charged with misdemeanor solicitation for prostitution.

Hoyle was freed on $100,000 bond. Bradshaw was released on a written promise to appear in court. It's not clear if either suspect had an attorney.

Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue (shuh-GREW') said an internal administrative investigation is under way. Hoyle has worked for the Raleigh Police Department since October 2000 and is assigned to the detective division.

This cop ought to be behind the prison fence for something like this. With all the lies and convicts and thieves would be the best location for this dumb cop.

Yes the cop was wrong in so many ways if true, now lets get to the little street walker. Sure she came from a bad home life or even hard drug use that put her on the street to survive. Now she is back on the street with someother lowlife, because she was able to sign her way out. The law is the law for ALL,or is it. PS This isn't her first time. Again, the system is messed up.

And yes this is another one that demands respect because he wear his colors. I congratulate the paper for giving the public this article, if in Beaufort County, it would not have been released or simply swept under the rug. You can't tell your children any more that the cops are the good guys because some of them are not. This is the very person trained to serve and protect you and your families. Better get your guns because you have only one resource for protection and that's yourself.. Another rotten apple that has his power with a gun and badge. Bets are in his not in this alone, more colors may surface. SAD AND SHAMEFUL!

There are bad in all professions, even yours, if you work. Cops are held to a higher standard than everyone else.

In my opinion, if you have to pay for it, you must be a loser anyway. Besides guys, some woman don't want a guy who gets that desperate.

These child predators need a good lesson. It needs to be made into a capital offense. Deplorable.

If she was arrested and released on a written promise then she has to be at least 16 YOA. If she is 16 then it is not a statutory sex offense under the law. Was he wrong, (If the accounts of the events we have are true, Who knows)yes he should have known better being at least 32 or 33 YOA (20 or 21 to be a cop and 12 years on the job). The little head gets the big head in trouble if you only listen to it!!!!!!
