Reward In Murdered Grandmother's Case Now Reaches $22,500

The reward for information on who gunned down a Jacksonville grandmother now has reached $22,500.

Kim Flournoy was shot during an apparent robbery as she was entering TNT Bingo in Jacksonville on December 30th.

TNT Bingo, Carmen Realty and Marine Federal have now added $2,500 each to the reward fund that was $15,000 last week.

Flournoy was the widow of a retired Marine and is survived by two grown children and one grandchild.

Police say a friend of Kim Flournoy's family has upped the reward for the grandmother's killer and that reward now stands at $15,000.

Jacksonville police believe the woman was the target of an armed robbery when she was gunned down outside a Jacksonville bingo business.

Flournoy was entering TNT Bingo on Henderson Drive Sunday evening when she was shot. The woman celebrated her 65th birthday just two days before the murder.

“We feel confident that there are individuals in the community with information about the suspects who took Ms. Flournoy’s life. We ask that anyone with information to contact JPD or Crimestoppers” said Sergeant Mark Ketchum.

Police Chief Mike Yaniero says detectives have been working around the clock on the case. The gunman left in a 4-door white Dodge Avenger with several people inside. Police say he is described as a man, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black gloves. The gunman was wearing white athletic-type shoes with a black stripe design.

Flournoy was the widow of a retired Marine and is survived by two grown children and one grandchild.

Crimestoppers and police offered a $5,000 reward and the family friend is offering an additional $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in this murder. Crimestoppers can be reached at 910-938-3273.

Police say the widow of a retired Marine was the victim in last night's murder outside a Jacksonville bingo parlor.

Kim Flournoy of Jacksonville was found shot in the parking lot of TNT Bingo on Henderson Drive around 7:40 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the shooter left in a white or silver Dodge or Chrysler 4-food sedan and they believe there were several people in the car. The gunman is described as a black man, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black gloves.

The victim recently celebrated her 65th birthday, according to police.

It's Jacksonville's second murder in the past two weeks. On December 15th police say a Marine was shot dead by a fellow Marine. That murder happened about a mile from last night's shooting.

Jacksonville Police are searching for a suspect wanted in the shooting death of a person outside of a business.

Officials say that the shooting happened in the parking lot of TNT Beach Bingo at 205 Henderson Drive around 7:42 Sunday night. Officers responded to a call of a disturbance and gunshots and found one person struck. Officials say that person has since died.

The victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.

Officials say a preliminary investigation reveals the shooter fled the area in a white or silver Dodge or Chrysler 4-door sedan. It is believed there were several subjects in the vehicle.
