Police say a 21-year-old man has been shot and killed after a man he was riding with stopped for a passenger in Fayetteville.
Investigators said two men in a car picked up the shooter around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say the man who was given a ride then tried to rob the other men in the car, shooting the passenger.
Police say the driver drove the wounded man to the hospital, but he died a short time later.
The name of the victim was not released. No arrests have been made.
