Police say there has been an arrest made in the weekend stabbing of a Jacksonville hotel clerk.
Joshua Segura of Piney Green Road was arrested in Jefferson County, Alabama for driving a stolen vehicle. That vehicle was reported stolen from a car lot in Jacksonville.
The clerk, Raymond Lisi, was stabbed multiple times around 3 a.m. Sunday at the Liberty Inn on Lejeune Boulevard.
Officials say a person came from behind the victim and stabbed him several times before running. The business was not robbed during the attack.
The 65-year-old Lisi was last listed in critical condition.
Segura is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
He's being held in an Alabama jail awaiting his return to North Carolina.
Police have not said anything about a possible motive in the attack.
Jacksonville Police are looking for a man they say stabbed a hotel clerk several times.
Officials say that it happened around 3 a.m. Sunday morning at the Liberty Inn at 1723 Lejeune Boulevard.
Officials say that an person came from behind the desk clerk and stabbed them several times before running. It’s believed the man ran toward the back of the hotel in the direction of Center Street.
The business was not robbed during the attack.
The victim of the attack was taken to Onslow Memorial Hospital before being transferred, and is listed in critical but stable condition.
Surveillance shows the suspect police say is responsible. He’s described as a Hispanic male with a small build, who was wearing cowboy boots, blue jeans, a cowboy style belt with large oval buckle, a flannel looking long sleeve shirt, and was wither wearing or carrying a straw cowboy hat.
Officials say the suspect would have been seen running from the scene wearing only jeans.
