NEW INFO: Police Investigate Kinston Shooting

Police are investigating an afternoon shooting that wounded one man.

Kinston police say it happened around 2:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Lenoir Avenue. The victim was found about a half block away, lying on Raleigh Street.

Police say they found several rounds on the ground near the shooting scene. The man, who is in his 30's, was shot in the leg.

Witnesses told police the gunmen were in a white Chevy Impala with dark tinted windows. Police say there are large bubbles on the back window, as if it had a bad tint job.

The victim was taken to Vidant Medical Center for his injuries.
