A Plymouth man will spend the next eight years in federal prison after his sentencing on child porn charges in Greenville.
Johnnie Davenport will also be on a life term of supervised release, have to register as a sex offender and be fined $4,000.
A federal grand jury indicted the 42-year-old man in May, and then in August he pled guilty to receiving child pornography.
The feds say Davenport was exchanging child porn via Internet chat networks from Google and Yahoo. They say the man was also using Skype to transport porn to others overseas.
A July 2010 search of the man's Plymouth home found 136 child porn images.
