Pitt County deputies say they're looking for three people who assaulted a man inside his home before running off with money and electronics.

Deputies say they got the call to the home on Bruce Strickland Road in Pitt County around 10:00 p.m. Sunday. They say the homeowner, Grant Beacom, was hit over the head with the butt of a gun by two people while a third person stayed in the car. Investigators say the two suspects then stole his wallet, a cell phone, flat screen TV and a gun.

Pitt County detectives say Beacom may have known one of the suspects, but haven't said how. Beacom was treated and released from Vidant Medical Center.
