Pamlico County Sheriff's Office Searching For Rape Suspect

The Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help finding a rape suspect. 27-year-old Wesley Sykes is wanted on charges of second degree forcible sexual offense, second degree rape, kidnapping, and sexual battery.

Deputy Jason Tyndall says Sykes forced a 19-year-old woman into a Pamlico County home in the early morning hours of October 12th and raped her. The rape was reported October 14th.

Deputy Tyndall says he's had reports of Sykes being in Pamlico and Beaufort counties and possibly even Florida.

If anyone has any information please contact the Pamlico County Sheriffs Office (252)745-3101.

    to doubting thomas , i am not a scorned woman and he has not been convicted yet they cant find him , however he is guilty my rape kit prooves it

    shame on you WITN for posting this without having all the facts. This article implies he is some kind of predator when he might just be the victim of a scorned woman. Hell hath no fury is right!

    This is absolutely crazy. He used to be a good kid but I guess when you get caught up with the wrong people and get into drugs you do stupid stuff. However, We must remember that he is a suspect. This doesn't mean that he is guilty. Let the court system determine that.

    WITN... why is it you post a story want to find this guy and when I click on the story his picture goes away ?? I then have to watch a commercial in order to view your little clip that has an even SMALLER photo of the suspect. Please ! If you post a story wanting the public to help find someone, how about posting a PHOTO big enough we can see instead of a video clip and useless commercials.
