POLICE: Drug Sweep Nets Arrests, Drug

Local police said their drug team arrested 10 people and seized more than 7 grams of cocaine alone in an effort to find and arrest area drug dealers.

On Wednesday, Greenville Police said the took 7.2 grams of cocaine, an ounce of marijuana, and $2,500 cash from suspected drug dealers in the city among other seizures.

Police said after the sweep, 10 people were arrested, 18 given traffic citations, and 15 active arrest warrants executed in the area.

The drug team was comprised of officers from the Greenville Police IMPACT, Housing Authority and K-9 Units, along with staff from the Regional Drug Task Force and Granville County Sheriff’s Office
