Police say a woman in a handicapped cart stole another woman's credit card who was helping her at a local Walmart.

Kinston police today released surveillance video of the woman walking out of the Walmart on Highway 70 after they say she used the stolen credit card to buy a laptop computer.

It happened around 11:00 a.m. on January 2nd.

Police say the woman was riding in a store-furnished handicapped cart, and asked an elderly customer to hand her a canned good from a shelf. When the 79-year-old woman turned her back to get the item, the thief stole the victim's credit card out of her purse, which was in her shopping cart.

Police say the woman then immediately purchased the laptop and left. They say she walked out of the store, with no apparent disability or handicap.

If anyone can ID the woman on the surveillance video, you should call Kinston police at 252-939-3195.
