Police say they stopped a burglary suspect and found some of the stolen loot on him.

Lamarques Bridges was arrested by Greenville police Monday for several residential break-ins in the Golden Road, Cedar Lane and Cedar Court areas over the past nine months.

As officers were conducting surveillance of the Golden Road area they stopped Bridges near Jaycee Park. They say several stolen items were found in his book bag.

The 23-year-old is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Recovered stolen items included several cameras, prescription medications, and checkbooks. Detectives say they are continuing to try and link Bridges to different burglaries in the neighborhood and additional charges are possible.

Bridges is jailed on a $55,000 bond.
