POLICE: Burglar Jumps From 2nd Floor Window, Accomplice Found In Closet

Police say they found one burglar hiding in an upstairs closet, while the other jumped from a second story window last night in Kinston.

Lawmen say Nakia Becton was arrested a short time after making his getaway, while Jneaka Sutton was found hiding after police searched the home on Stallings Drive.

Police say they were called around 7:00 p.m. after the homeowner told 911 she could hear someone in her home.

Becton was charged with first degree burglary, felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was jailed on a $80,000 secured bond. Sutton was charged with first degree burglary and jailed on a $50,000 secured bond.

It's not Becton and Sutton's first run-in with the law. Becton got out of prison in September after serving a four-year sentence for felony breaking and entering and drug trafficking. Sutton was released just last month on multiple felony breaking and entering charges.
