Two people are behind bars after authorities say they were growing large pot plants in the back yard of a Sneads Ferry home.
The Onslow County Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Ryan Tewksbury of Sneads Ferry and 25-year-old Jessica Whelton of Wilmington are charged with manufacturing and possessing marijuana with intent to sell and other drug charges. The narcotics unit says the two were growing marijuana plants in the back yard of a home and around 6 pounds of marijuana were recovered.
