One Sought, Another Jailed In December Drive-By Shooting

One man is in jail and another being sought in a drive-by shooting that injured a woman late last year in Goldsboro.

Police say Kenya Floyd of Goldsboro was arrested Tuesday for the December 28th shooting on Olivia Lane that injured Andreana Faison. His bond was set at $600,000.

Police are still searching for Edquan Battle, also of Goldsboro. Both men have been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and firing into occupied property.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the 24-year-old Battle should contact Goldsboro police at (919) 580-4243 or Crime Stoppers at (919) 735-2255.

Where is the Rev Barber and Jesse and Al when all these fine upstanding young African Americans are riding around shooting up Greenville. I bet they are to scared to come stick their noses in to this problem. Now if the shootings were going on at the school board meeting in Raleigh I bet the good Rev would be all over this.

It is truly sad how they do nothing to change things. It is like they just don't care. Where is all that black pride? Where is the NAACP and the like? These organizations have been around for YEARS and things are still getting WORSE. How effective are they really?

Since no one was killed and the victim is probably over the anger from being shot, these nice young men will no doubt be let go with a slap on the wrist. Let bygones be bygones. It's no big deal, right? Happens all the time. (esp in Greenville)
