New Bern Police are searching for a person of interest after a victim was shot downtown early Sunday morning.
According to Lt. Ronda Allen it happened outside of a nightclub near Princess Street and Queen Street.
Allen says the victim was trying to break up a fight when he was shot. She says the victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released.
