Death certificates filed for the two stabbing victims from North Topsail Beach show they both suffered wounds to the neck.

The cause of death for both Robert Shellhamer IV and Christopher Stewart is listed as exsanguination, which is excessive loss of blood.

The report says Shellhamer had a stab wound to the neck, while Stewart had an incised stab wound to the neck.

The two men were stabbed to death Thursday night.

Police have not said much about the case, except that it appears that the two stabbed each other.
