A missing man was arrested after police say he stole a vehicle and drove to Florida.
Goldsboro police say last Monday they began an investigation into the possible disappearance of Thomas Jacobs. But the next day that changed into a criminal investigation after police say Jacobs was accused of stealing a vehicle in Goldsboro and financial card fraud in Dunn.
On Wednesday the 37-year-old was arrested in Naples, Florida with the stolen car. He was charged in Florida with grand theft auto and remains jailed in Collier County.
Police in North Carolina today charged Jacobs with larceny of a motor vehicle, financial card theft and larceny, along with financial transaction card fraud.
