Man Who Smuggled Gun Into Jail Not Injured

Authorities say medical officials found no signs of injury during an exam of a man suspected of smuggling a handgun into a North Carolina jail.

Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown told The Daily News of Jacksonville that a medical exam on Friday showed that 22-year-old Michael Ward of Canton, Ga., had suffered no injuries.

Deputies said last week a gun was found inside the cell of Ward. Authorities wanted medical officials to evaluate Ward for possible injuries to his rectum, where deputies think he concealed the handgun.

North Carolina deputies stopped Ward last week for speeding. He is wanted on a murder charge in Atlanta.

Ward was being held at the Onslow County jail without bond.

He looks like that guy that stole my bicycle. It was never found. Hey officers, could you check for me?

You have got to have a rear the size of a mack truck to hide something that big. And the shape would definitely show during the "squat and cough" procedure. He had that hidden under a fat roll NOT in is posterior!!

He is not injured people because the gun was either in the cell or officers deviated from policy and procedures and did not complete the search correctly. Yeah the guy is a criminal but enough jokes about where the officials claimed it had to be. That was a coverup that fell through with an investigation.

Yeeeewww as my girlfriend would say. This clown's action is patently offensive and there should be legislation in place to deal with such disgusting, vile and despicable concealment of a weapon. Pity the poor gunshot victim if hollow point ammunition is used. He gets a double whammy of lead and bacteria.

This is hogwash. The gun was in his cell before he was. OCSD has become a joke nowadays.

That is just crazy. The idiot murdered somebody so why would they want to plant a pistol in the cell. The polices know that the hidden pistol charges will be dismissed after he is covicted of murder.Plain and simple.By the way I am pretty sure they got DNA samples out of his rear to prove that he did this not that it's going to matter anyways in court.
