Man Wanted In Club Shooting Arrested In Wilson

A federal task force has arrested a man in Wilson who was wanted for a killing outside of a Fayetteville club.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Brandon Taylor told The Fayetteville Observer that 28-year-old Michael Murphy surrendered around 12:15 a.m. Saturday after 20 officers surrounded a home in Wilson.

Taylor is charged with second-degree murder. Authorities say he shot 32-year-old Randolph Richardson twice outside a Fayetteville club Wednesday night.

Officers planned to bring Murphy to the Cumberland County jail. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
