Man Charged After Child Hit In Face With Bleach

A man is facing a charge after lawmen say he threw bleach which splashed a child in the face.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office reports they went to a home at Trails End South in Washington in November after a woman called screaming for help.

They say deputies arriving to the scene found a five-year-old child had been spashed in the face with bleach during a domestic dispute.

An investigation led to the December 15th arrest of 23-year-old Antonio Winters of Highway 171 North in Washington. He was charged with one count of malicious throwing of corrosive acid or Alkali and locked up under a $50,000 secured bond.

The child was treated at the hospital and released.
