A Cove City man has been charged in a deadly crash that killed a grandmother New Years weekend.
State troopers have charged Daniel Stonebreaker with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
Melba Lipford of Snow Hill died when her SUV was rear ended by Stonebreaker's SUV on U.S. 70, between the Clarks and Tuscarora exits. The crash happened on December 30th around 8:30 p.m.
Lipford's four year old grandson was in a child safety seat and was not injured, even though the SUV ended up in the woods.
