There's been another bank robbery in the Rocky Mount area, and this time an arrest has been made.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the RBC Centura Bank on North Fairview Road. Police say Robert Jones came into the bank and passed a note, demanding money. The robber then left the bank in a silver Ford Mustang.

Rocky Mount police nabbed the 36-year-old Jones a few hours later after identifying him through their investigation.

No one was injured in the bank robbery and Jones has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. Bond was set at $25,000.

One Tuesday a First South Bank branch was robbed in Dortches. In that robbery a teller was assaulted and a man was shot by the robber as he made his getaway. No arrests have been made in that robbery and Nash County deputies do not believe the two robberies are connected.
