NEW INFO: Man Arrested On Kidnapping, Attempted Murder Charges

A Bertie County man is under a $1 million bond after his arrest for a kidnapping in Hertford County and a double shooting in Williamston.

Jaronta Raynor of Colerain was arrested Monday by Pitt County deputies on charges of kidnapping, felony attempted first degree murder, felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and felony possession of a firearm by a felon.

Williamston police say Raynor is accused of shooting two people at the Warren Court housing complex back on July 26th. Eddie Moore and Keith Lawrence were wounded and airlifted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital for their injuries.

Raynor is in the Bertie Martin Regional Jail.

This is in regards to the comment about the courts should hold parents responsible for the gang members and gang bangers. No, the courts and social services should be responsible. If they would let us good parents have our way with our kids like in the old days without abusing or killing them, then things wouldn't have gotten so out of hand. The kids are protected by the legal system. I know that some parents go overboard in disciplining the child, but even those who try to teach that the bad behavior is unacceptable are tied up with all of the legality. So now that the kids are out of hand, they should deal with it.

It is obvious he is angry with someone. His first anger started in his home long before he ventures into the outside world. Is he angry at his absent dad or a mom who was to busy with her own game? Nevertheless, when they loose respect for human life they need to be locked up with other scums. DO not use our tax payers money to protect them. Nine to one they have not paid any taxes. Woe unto the Pastors that get them out of jail to go out to commit more crimes.

The only things bad about "thebadguy" are his English and writing skills. Yes, there are two sides to every story, but neither one should involve a gun being shot. Your buddy is in the right place temporarily and hopefully he'll be off the streets getting pyschiatric care in the coming years.
