A Bertie County man is under a $1 million bond after his arrest for a kidnapping in Hertford County and a double shooting in Williamston.
Jaronta Raynor of Colerain was arrested Monday by Pitt County deputies on charges of kidnapping, felony attempted first degree murder, felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and felony possession of a firearm by a felon.
Williamston police say Raynor is accused of shooting two people at the Warren Court housing complex back on July 26th. Eddie Moore and Keith Lawrence were wounded and airlifted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital for their injuries.
Raynor is in the Bertie Martin Regional Jail.
