A Rocky Mount man is behind bars after police say he stole a car and then returned it.
Clarence Mitchell, 49, is charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and driving while his license was revoked.
Police say he stole a van from a train station parking lot only to return it. At this time investigators are reviewing other similar cases in the downtown Rocky Mount area to see if Mitchell has any involvement. Police say additional charges are forthcoming in the case.
Mitchell's bond was set at $7,000.
