Beaufort County lawmen are searching for an employee of a heating and air conditioning company, suspected of stealing copper from his work and a church under construction.

Deputies say Tolby Bright's employer told them he had stolen a large quantity of copper from them in August. Just five days later the Word of Life Worship Center was broken into. During the break-in, five evaporator coils were taken from the air conditioning units. The company says the 28-year-old Bright worked for the company at the church.

Anyone with information on Bright's whereabouts are asked to call Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at 974-6400.
