Man Indicted For Burglary, Vehicle Break-Ins

Beaufort County deputies said a man was indicted in January for break-in's into vehicles and a shed in May of 2012.

Investigators said around 10:45PM on May 27th, residents called in to report a man trying to get into a shed. A resident tried confronting the suspect, when he ran away.

Neighbors around the home, near Highway 264 East in Belhaven, said the noticed their cars were also broken into, some with cigarettes taken.

On January 4th, after nearly seven months of investigation, the sheriff's office handed the case over to a Grand Jury. The jury indicted 34-year-old James Credle on to counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, one county of first degree burglary, and one count each of both felony and misdemeanor larceny.

On Monday, January 28th, Credle was served and put in the Beaufort County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.
