Man Breaks Into Greenville Clubhouse, Police Find Additional Stolen Property

A man is now behind bars facing 16 charges after Greenville police caught him breaking into the Copper Beech Clubhouse. Police then found additional stolen property in his belongings.

Greenville police officers were contacted by a witness Saturday night who said they saw a man crawl through the fence at the Clubhouse and then repeatedly pull on the secured doors until they opened.

Officers caught David Ruffin in the computer area of the clubhouse. Along with charges for that incident, 12 additional warrants were served on Ruffin.

According to Pitt County Detention Center officers Ruffin is charged with Breaking & Entering, Misdemeanor Larceny, 2 counts of Possession Stolen/Goods/Property, 5 counts of Breaking & Entering a motor vehicle, 4 counts of Larceny after Breaking & Entering, 2 counts of Receiving Stolen Goods/Property, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

Ruffin is in jail under a $104,000 secured bond.
