A man police say was trying to make some fast cash is behind bars following the attempted robbery of a KFC.
Sgt. Bowen with New Bern Police says that 28-year-old Nicholas Delucca was arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery as well as resist, obstruct, and delay an officer.
Officials say that Delucca walked into the KFC at 2212 Neuse Boulevard around 10:07 p.m. on Friday and brandished a knife. We’re told Delucca eventually ran from the store empty handed.
Police say that an officer spotted Delucca and chased him. Officials say that officer eventually caught and arrested Delucca.
Officials say that no one was hurt.
Delucca is being held on a $25,000 bond.
