A man is behind bars here in the east after police say he fired a weapon inside city limits.
Pitt County Detention Center Officials say that Greenville Police arrested 55-year-old Leopoldo Silva around 1:45 Sunday morning.
Silva has been charged with felony possession of a weapon of mass destruction, going armed to the terror of the people, and discharging a firearm in the city.
He's being held on a 50 thousand dollar bond.
Weapons of mass destruction can include sawed off shotguns and weapons with automatic fire. It's not clear what weapon Silva is believed to have used at this time.
